Be advised that work stoppages at west coast ports are beginning to have an impact on some products, with delays stretching to 2-3 weeks.  If the situation isn't resolved soon, you may begin to see an impact on some Asia-sourced import products in the office and furniture channels.

Many suppliers, however, have worked to bring in additional product to cover Chinese New Year, and are also attempting to re-route shipments to the East coast.  These efforts may lessen the impact if a strike occurs, but there would still likely be significant disruption in vendors' ability to deliver import product within normal lead times.  It would be wise to confirm lead times and delivery with manufacturers before making commitments to customers for larger orders.

Lastly, look on this as an opportunity.  Be prepared to win new business with suitable substitutes when customers turn to you for products they can't get from other sources.
