It’s time to “Stand Up and Be Counted” by participating in the first industry-wide, nonpartisan State of the Office Products Dealer Industry Survey. Administered by the Independent Office Products & Furniture Dealers Association (IOPFDA) through its National Office Products Alliance (NOPA), the first comprehensive dealer industry survey is supported by every major wholesaler and buying group in the United States.

Running from June 11 through the end of July, the confidential survey is divided into two separate surveys: one for a representative of an office products dealership and one for sales representatives, and will seek to answer the questions that everyone asks:

  • HOW MANY OFFICE PRODUCTS DEALERSHIPS ARE THERE?
  • IN TERMS OF SALES, HOW MUCH OF THE OFFICE PRODUCT MARKET ARE DEALERS RESPONSIBLE FOR?
  • WHAT’S THE AVERAGE SIZE OF TODAY’S DEALERSHIPS?
  • HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE EMPLOYED IN DEALERSHIPS ACROSS THE UNITED STATES?
  • WHAT IS THE SIZE OF THE AVERAGE DEALER CUSTOMER AND HOW MUCH IS A TYPICAL ORDER?
  • WHAT PRODUCT SEGMENTS BEST SERVE THE DEALER?

No long forms, no exacting figures that require a CFO to fill out, NOPA has made it so easy to answer with less than 20 questions per survey and easy to select drop down menus and buttons. The entire survey should take less than 5 minutes to take.

Regardless of your association membership, your buying group or wholesale alignment, it's time for a true and accurate accounting of the office products dealer industry for the sake of the industry as a whole and we can't do this without your help. Every dealership needs to be represented and every salesperson possible needs to fill out the survey.
